Adalgiza A. Nuñez
Adalgiza A. Nuñez, Esq., practices in the areas of criminal defense
and complex civil litigation. She has served as a law clerk
for the Hon. Susan D. Wigenton in the United States District
Court for the District of New Jersey, from 2009 to 2011, and
for the Hon. Amy P. Chambers in the Superior Court of New Jersey,
Appellate Division, from 2008 to 2009. During her clerkships,
she worked on a variety of criminal and civil cases and wrote
numerous bench memoranda and draft legal opinions on topics ranging
from post-conviction relief and habeas corpus petitions to securities
fraud and insider trading.
Ms. Nuñez, earned her J.D. in 2008 from Rutgers School of Law-Newark, where she was an Articles Editor of the Rutgers Law
Review, Alumni Liaison for the Association of Latin American
Law Students, and a Teaching Assistant for the Legal Research
and Writing Program. While studying at Rutgers, Ms. Nuņez interned
with the Office of the Public Defender and with the Office of
the Attorney General for the State of New York, where she assisted
with an investigation of the subprime lending industry. Prior
to law school, Ms. Nuñez worked in the financial field for a
global securities services ecompany, where she provided money
market mutual fund clearing services to broker-dealers. Ms.
Nuñez earned her B.A. in Economics from Rutgers University in 2002.
